Fuel Poverty and Climate Change – striking the balance for 2010

The NRFC 2006 Conference, for the first time, placed the problem of fuel poverty in the UK in the wider environment. It addressed conflicts emerging between Government policies, targets and delivery and how best to resolve these conflicts. The NRFC 2006 Conference brought together examples of best practice and innovative thinking and opened a debate about removing the barriers obstructing the realisation of the fuel poverty target.

For the first time, this NRFC conference placed the issue of affordable energy for all households at the forefront of the climate change agenda.
